Provisions is a line of high-quality, artisanal food products prepared by “opportunity youth” with the goal of presenting good. In life, looking the part is a big step towards being the part. Provisions helps youth present professional good while expanding their understanding of entrepreneurship, work ethic, finance, presentability, and self-esteem.
Provisions was born as my "big idea" during a residency at the School of Visual Arts. The project was brought home to Wichita and implemented with youth transitioning through the juvenile justice system while working at Youth for Christ's City Life Cafe. The youth created a product, packaged it, sold it for profit, and then used the profits to purchase workwear and business attire.
